Overtime & TOIL Procedure
North Yorkshire Police (NYP) believes that it is fundamental to an efficient policing organisation is the effective management of working time. This procedure is designed to clarify options available to individuals to assist in planning their Work-Life balance and to satisfy identified organisational needs and objectives.
This procedure follows the principles laid out within the Working Arrangements and Flexibility Policy, Working Time Regulations 1998 and the Working Time (Amendment) Regulations 2002.
This procedure should be read in conjunction with other procedures available to staff who require paid time away from work; Compassionate Leave, Emergency Leave, Annual Leave, Additional Leave of Absence procedures.Last modified: December 28, 2017
