1) How many thefts have taken place from vans: A list of all thefts where the offence category is Theft from a Motor Vehicle and the vehicle type is Van or Panel Van. Please can you provide these details broken down by the make and model of each vehicle, as well as a breakdown of the category of items stolen (e.g. Tools, equipment, personal items etc). I would like this information to cover the following time periods:

1. 1st January 2024 – 31st May 2024
2. 1st January 2023 – 31st December 2023

2) How many vans have been stolen: A list of all thefts where the offence category is Theft of a Motor vehicle and the vehicle type is Van or Panel Van. Please can you provide these details broken down by the make and model of each vehicle. I would like this information to cover the following time periods:

1. 1st January 2024 – 31st May 2024
2. 1st January 2023 – 31st December 2023

3) If at all possible, for each category (e.g. Tools, equipment, personal items etc) could you provide the total value of the stolen items. I would like this information to cover the following time periods:

1. 1st January 2024 – 31st May 2024
2. 1st January 2023 – 31st December 2023

I have therefore decided to exempt providing you with a response (to date range 01^st january 2023 – 29^th February 2024) pursuant to Section 21 Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act). – Please see exemption explanation below.

Please see below the information showing data from the 01^st March 2024 till the 31^st May 2024.

Q1) Please see the table below the total number of thefts from vans between 01st March 2024 till the 31st May 2024, broken down by calendar year and van type. Also a table below showing the total number of items stolen.

Q2) Please see the table below the total number of vans stolen, recorded between 01st March 2024 till the 31st May 2024.

Q3) Please see the table below showing the total value against each category of items, stolen from a van for the time period of 01^st January 2023 – 31^st May 2024. Please note that a large majority of the original value field are not recorded. Therefore the data only shows the totals for those where this has been filled out.
