*please note thise does not include verbal or other NIP’s given by officerd at the roadside or by another means which resulted in the driver being reported for summons straight to the Prosecution Team. The Traffic Bureau have no means of collating this data as the information would be processed direct to the crime recording system by the officer and/or the Prosecution Team.
*The data provided for the Safety Camera Van violations are determined by the speed limit for the road. Within the data for the 60mph and 70mph limit there will be a volume of NIP’s issued whereby the offence is due to a reduced speed for vehicle classification. To quantify this data would require a review of 38,004 records which would take in excess of 18hrs which would trigger an excess cost response.
Q2. No information held - throughout 2023 and to date NYP have not operated any fixed cameras.
Please note that systems used for recording information are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data. It should be noted therefore that this force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other responses you may receive.
