Request:

For the period 1st January 2025 to 1st January 2026, I would like to request the following information:

Q1. Please state whether this police force used AI to transcribe witness statements, and if so, please state which tool/s did it use.

Q2. Please state the number of times where external parties complained that those AI-generated witness statements contained mistakes.

Q3. For each complaint, and without identifying individuals, please provide a brief description as to what their complaint was about

To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police.

I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by North Yorkshire Police.

Q1. No information held - North Yorkshire Police do not use AI to transcribe witness statements.

Q2 & Q3. N/A
