Q3. 3 Safety Camera Vehicle locations along this stretch of B6165. The entirety of the B6165 is classed as one of our Killed and Seriously Injured Routes and therefore we will deploy to this on a regular basis as part of our deployment strategy.
We have a further Safety Camera location in Lingerfield and there are Community Speed Watch locations across all of the roads within Scotton village. Further submissions into the Speed Management Protocol process since the CSW group has started has confirmed that this remains the correct outcome for these roads rather than a Safety Camera Vehicle or Highways England Engineering.
Q4. As above, the entirety of the B6165 is classed as one of our Killed and Seriously Injured routes as highlighted to use through collision statistics.
Q5. Road Safety improvement through the use of Safety Camera Vehicles as described above. If North Yorkshire Council or Highways England are looking into changing the layout of the road or speed limits etc, this would need to be a direct question to those organisations.
Please note that systems used for recording information are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data. It should be noted therefore that this force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other responses you may receive.
