Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police.
Decision
I have today decided to disclose the following information to you.
Q1. Please note that the specific information you have requested is not recorded in a manner which is searchable within police systems. However, in the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023, I can confirm that there have been 9 arrests for the following offences:

· Ride a pedal cycle on a road and fail to stop when directed by a uniformed police constable / |

· Dangerous cycling |
|
· Riding pedal cycle under the influence of drink or drugs |
|
· Ride a cycle on a road / bridle way / footpath without due care and attention |
|
· Ride a pedal cycle with defective brakes |
|
· Drunk in charge of a pedal cycle / carriage / animal (recordable) |
As requested, I have excluded the results relating to motor cycles and mechanically propelled vhicles from my search.
Please note that individuals may be arrested for more than one offence, and where there are multiple arrest reasons these have been counted in the above data.
