FOI 1196-2024/25- Police officer resources

Request:

I am seeking information regarding proactive resources at Level 1 and 2 (NIM) in your force. I am a retired Detective Chief Superintendent currently preparing a MSc dissertation into Organised Crime at the University of Central Lancashire. Please be assured that the information will be randomised against all other forces and data used as a whole, not specifically about your force.

Q1. I would like to know what percentage of your resources (police officers) are working full time in proactive investigations.

Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information

To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by North Yorkshire Police. This is because we do not record percentages.

Please note that systems used for recording information are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data.  It should be noted therefore that this force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other responses you may receive.
