In the recent Sgt promotion process March 2025, can you provide the following:

Q1) How many applicants declared a disability? Please break this down by internal and external applicants.

Q2) How many applicants with a declared disability passed shortlisting and were given an interview? Again please break this down by internal and external applicants.

Q3) How many applicants with a declared disability passed the interview and were offered a Sgt role? Again please break this down by internal and external applicants

Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information

To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police.

I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by North Yorkshire Police. 

Decision

I have today decided to disclose the following information to you.

Q1. Internal declared disability = 9, with 2 prefer not to say. External declared disability = 6, with 1 prefer not to say.

Q2. Internal declared disability = 8, with 2 prefer not to say also offered an interview. External declared disability = 4, with 1 prefer not to say.

Q3. Internal declared disability = 4. External declared disability = 0.
