Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please can you disclose the following information:

Q1. In the past year, how many car accidents took place? (Financial year 2024/25)

Q2. What is the number of pedestrian casualties in reported road collisions in the past year? (Financial year 2024/25)

2a. Could these casualties be broken down into fatalities, serious injuries and minor injuries?

Q3. What is the number of pedal cyclist casualties in reported road collisions in the past year? (Financial year 2024/25)

Q3a. Could these casualties be broken down into fatalities, serious injuries and minor injuries?

Q4. In the past year, how many people were arrested following a traffic collision/accident and how many people were subsequently charged? (Financial year 2024/25)

*Please note that collision numbers include those involving cars and pedestrians and are not recorded separately.

Q3 & Q3a. Please see the table below showing the the number of collisions recorded involving a pedal cycle for 2024/2025 broken down by severity of casualty.

Q4. Please see the table below showing the number of people arrested and charged following a traffic collision in the financial year 2024/25.
