FOI 0111-2025/26 Registered Sex Offenders

I am emailing to make an FOI request regarding incomplete, out-of-date, or missing information regarding those on the Violent and Sex Offender Register who are required to keep police up to date on their workplaces/homes. 

Specifically, I am looking to find out:  

Q1. How many offenders on the VSOR fall within the force's area of responsibility for up-to-date information? 

Q2. If available within FOI limits, how many of these offenders are on the register for sexual offences? 

Q3. How many offenders on the VSOR have missing, incomplete, or out-of-date location information (workplace, home setting, etc.)? 

Q4. If available within the FOI limits, how many offenders on the VSOR are registered for sexual offences and have missing, incomplete, or out-of-date location information?

Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police.

I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by North Yorkshire Police.  

Decision
I have today decided to disclose the following information to you.

Q1. 1348.

Q2. 1346.

Q3. 1.

Q4. 68 individuals who have either been deported or are residing abroad.

Please note that systems used for recording information are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data.  It should be noted therefore that this force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other responses you may receive.
