Request:
I am currently conducting a research project on women's night-time walking safety in York. The study seeks to understand the spatial distribution of crime incidents and whether certain areas pose a higher risk to women walking alone at night.
To support this research, I would like to kindly request access to street-level crime data in the City of York area, covering the period from February 2022 to October 2024. Specifically, I am seeking:
Q1. Crime incidents by type (e.g., sexual offences, harassment, assault, robbery)
Q2. Street-level or the most detailed possible spatial information
Q3. Victim gender, if available
Q4. Time of day (day/night classification, or timestamp if possible)
Response:
Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police.
I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by North Yorkshire Police.
