Q1. How many dogs were seized by your force?

Q2. How many of these dogs (1.) died while being held in pounds?

Q3. How many of these dogs (1.) were later euthanised by a vet? 

Q4. Of the dogs that were euthanised (3.) how many were either suspected or assessed to be XL Bullies.

Q5. How many dogs that were seized (1.) were returned to their owners?

I have today decided to disclose the following information to you.

Q1. Please see the table below showing the number of dogs seized between 01 January 2023 and 15 September 2025, broken down by calendar year.

Q2. Of those above in Q1 please see the table below showing the number of dogs that died whilst held in kennels, broken down by calendar year.

Q3. Of those above in Q1 please see the table below showing the number of dogs that were euthanised by a vet broken down by calendar year.

Q4. Of those above in Q1 please see the table below showing the number of dogs that were either suspected or assessed to be XL Bullies broken down by calendar year.

 *There was no formal classification of the XL bully until the end of 2023 therefore only 1 suspected XL bully was euthanised, however no DLO assessment to determine if it was an XL bully took place.

Q5. Of those above in Q1 please see the table below showing the number of dogs that were returned to their owners broken down by calendar year.
