Our team of officers, PCSOs, Special Constables, Police Staff and volunteers are on hand to support the local community and tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. We work closely with Partner agencies to ensure the Harrogate District remains a safe and secure place for everyone to enjoy. Our focus is on reducing the number of victims of crime and anti-social behaviour, including rural crime, protecting the vulnerable, and targeting those offenders who cause the most harm in our area.
We are committed to solving long term crime patterns, persistent Anti-social behaviour and those problems which affect the quality of life for our communities. To facilitate this have established had a multi-agency Community Safety Hub for Harrogate District which includes Officers from North Yorkshire Police, Harrogate District Council, Housing officer, licensing and hosts weekly tasking meetings with other agencies including North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, Yorkshire Ambulance Service, North Yorkshire County Council’s, Mental Health Services, Housing, a Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) support worker, Prevention Services and local education and Young person’s services. The hub allows for anti-social behaviour, crime and vulnerability to be identified and dealt with in a co-ordinated and efficient way, ensuring that the correct agency resources are deployed to incidents in a timely manner.
