How to get involved
We advertise regular beat surgeries and drop-ins via social media, word of mouth and posters which are usually held in local community halls, banks and mobile police stations. We find that our surgeries provide the public with the chance to speak with their local Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) face to face about any issues or concerns they may have and to listen to what is being done to keep the community safe. We also attend council liaison meetings for parishes.
We have dedicated social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook which allow us to interact with our community on a real time basis but also receive communication in return. During June 2016 a new “Community Messaging” service will be online and enable our officers to send messages directly to your mobile phone. This new service will in time replace “Ringmaster” and be a much better more interactive service.
