Alleged assault outside The Barbican in York

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information about an alleged assault that occurred outside The Barbican on Paragon Street, York, on Thursday 07/11/2019.

The incident occurred outside The Barbican between 7pm and 9.30pm on 7 November 2019 and involved a man and woman in their late twenties.

An injury was sustained to the female of a small cut just above her left eye and swelling. No medical assistance was required in this instance.

A male in his late twenties was arrested and bailed with conditions pending further enquiries.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information regarding anyone who think they may have witnessed the assault to come forward.
