Appeal after cyclist injured in Skipton but vehicle failed to stop

Police in Skipton are appealing for witnesses and information after a cyclist was hit by a car that failed to stop.

It happened on Keighley Road at the junction with Cawder Road Bridge at approximately 12.20pm on 8 August 2019.

It involved a dark coloured Vauxhall Zafira, travelling into Skipton which collided with the cyclist.

The vehicle failed to stop, leaving cyclist – a man in his 60s – with minor injuries which were treated by a doctor.

We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.

In particular, we are appealing for information about the Vauxhall Zafira concerned and appeal for the driver of the vehicle to come forward or anyone who can help identify them.
