Appeal after dog walker assaulted in Selby

Officers are investigating following an assault on a woman in Selby.

Officers are investigating following an assault on a woman in Selby.

At around 8pm on Sunday, 17 February a woman in her 40s was walking her dog along Woodville Terrace when a person on their bike came up behind her and knocked her over. The victim suffered injuries to her face as a result of this incident.

The cyclist is believed to have then travelled in the direction of Barwick Parade.

Anyone who believes they can assist with the investigation is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police with information by calling 101.

You can assist the investigation by either by providing CCTV or dash-cam footage of the offence or the events surrounding it, providing information as a witness or providing information on a person you believe may be responsible.
