Appeal after fireworks let off near York petrol station

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a potentially dangerous incident involving fireworks that occurred at Nether Poppleton, York

It happened at the Co-Op service station, Great North Way, between 8.45pm and 9.15pm on Tuesday 12 November, and involved fireworks being released at the side of the road close to the petrol station.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

A man and a woman arrested in connection with the incident have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
