Appeal after two pedestrians hit by car in York

Police in York are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a collision on Fulford Road involving a car and two pedestrians.

It happened at near the Iceland store around 10am on  Wednesday 4 December 2019 when a Volkswagen Touran collided with an 86-year-old man and an 84-year-old woman. The woman was treated for minor injuries at hospital and later discharged.

The man suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

The driver of the Volkswagen was uninjured. We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.
