Appeal after youth with a knife involved in altercation in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a knife crime incident that occurred on the cycle track between Wigginton Road and Haxby Road, York.

It happened  approximately 13:20hrs on Friday 10 of August 2018 and involved a number of youths from the local area engaging in a verbal altercation.

No injuries occurred but one of the youths involved produced a knife which was concealed in his trousers.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information to help identify the boy with the knife, who was described as being as white  and aged between 13 to 16 years old.
