Original release

North Yorkshire Police is asking for the public’s help to find 89-year-old Elizabeth Costar who has gone missing from her home on Harlow Manor Park, Harrogate.

Police are concerned for Elizabeth’s welfare after she was last seen at home at 7.30pm on Sunday 19 February 2017.

She is described as 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build with grey hair. She usually wears a black hat, a purple and black check waist-length coat and may have a black handbag and walking stick with her.

She is believed to be with her chocolate-coloured poodle, Coco.  They could still be in the Harlow Manor Park area although may have taken public transport elsewhere.

Officers are now appealing to members of the public to contact the police if they have seen a woman or dog matching Elizabeth or Coco’s description.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
