Appeal following ‘2-in-1’ burglary in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a '2-in-1' burglary that occurred on Heslington Road in York.

It happened between 11.30pm on Thursday 14 November and 6.30am on Friday 15 November 2019, and involved suspect/s gaining access into a student house and stealing a black Puma puffer jacket containing bank cards, house keys and a vehicle belonging to the victim. The vehicle has since been recovered by police on Blakeney Place.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about a black Citroen C1 being driven around the Hull Road and Heslington Road area of York in the early hours of 15 November.

Please ensure you remain vigilant and ensure your property is left secure when going out or going to bed. Please report any suspicious activity to the police via 101 or if it is an emergency please call 999.
