Appeal following a recent fail to stop collision in York

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information about a fail to stop collision that occurred on Water Lane in York.

It happened between 3.15-3.30pm on Tuesday 19 November 2019 and involved a 17-year- old cyclist and a white transit-style van, which failed to stop.

The cyclist was turning left onto Lancaster Way from Water Lane and it is believed the van continued straight ahead on Water Lane in the direction of Clifton.

The cyclist has a suspected fractured scaphoid in his left wrist as a result of the collision.

We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to or after the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.

In particular, we are appealing for any dash-cam footage of the incident or if you are the driver of the van please contact us.
