Appeal following alleged assault in Heworth

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an alleged assault that occurred in Heworth in York.

It happened outside The Coffee House on East Parade in Heworth, at around 12pm on Thursday 27 August 2020 and involved an altercation between a man and woman with three young children and a group of adults. Two adults were assaulted resulting during the incident resulting  in a woman sustaining minor injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident to contact them.

A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the incident and released while under investigation.
