Appeal following an assault near Church Lane, Huntington, York

Police in York are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Huntington in York.

It happened near the All Saints Church, Church Lane at around 12:50pm on 24 January 2018.

The victim, a man in his fifties, was out walking his dog along a path near the church when another man kicked the dog and pushed the victim.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about a man that may have been seen in the area around the time of the alleged incident.

he is described as  white, about 5’10”, thought to be in his 40s with a slim to medium build. He was wearing a black puffer jacket and light blue jeans and he spoke with a southern accent.
