Appeal following an assault on a man in Acomb, York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that occurred in Acomb

It happened on Barkston Road in Acomb on Tuesday 29 of October 2019 at around 6.50pm and involved a man in his fifties being punched in the face by an unknown male. The incident resulted in the victim receiving swelling to his face.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing to anyone who may of witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information which would assist police to identify the suspect who punched the victim.

He is described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with dark hair and a medium build, he was unshaven and wearing a grey hooded jumper.
