Appeal following an incident on Albemarle Road, York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a series of criminal damage incidents and assaults that occurred on Albemarle Road in York.

It happened on Albemarle Road between 8.15pm and 8.30pm on Wednesday 31 March 2021 and involved two male victims being assaulted and five cars being damaged.

One of the victims was taken to hospital with swelling to his eye and cuts and grazes to his face. He was taken to York Hospital and later discharged following treatment.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

We are appealing for information about a large group of youths in the Albemarle Road area. In particular, we are appealing for information for the identity of a male, wearing a grey tracksuit top and grey tracksuit shorts. The male was also believed to be wearing black trainers and black ankle socks and wearing a light coloured cap.
