Appeal following arrests for theft of bicycle

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a possible cycle theft that occurred in Scarborough.

At about 1.45am on 25 November 2016, a male suspect was observed leaving a property on Beulah Terrace with a mountain bike.

Upon seeing police, the man, and another man who was hiding nearby, made off. They were later detained and the cycle recovered

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information from anyone who has had a mountain bike stolen recently in the Scarborough area, particularly near Beulah Terrace. The recovered cycle is quite distinctive.
