Appeal following assault in Scarborough

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a assault that occurred on Prospect Road in Scarborough.

On Prospect Road at about 6.30pm on 22 March 2021, a passenger of a midnight-grey Vauxhall Corsa exited the vehicle and assaulted a man walking past Prospect Road and onto Columbus Ravine.

The victim was punched in the face, which caused bruising to his right cheek.

The suspect was a 6ft tall man, with a large, muscular build. He had strawberry-blonde hair styled in a medium-length perm and had a bushy beard of the same colour.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
