Appeal following assault in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an a assault that occurred on the cycle path in Tang Hall, York, between Fifth Avenue and James Street.

It happened at around 5pm on Monday 10 July 2017 when the victim, an individual using a white cane, was walking along the cycle path, heading East near the ambulance station. Two unknown men cycled past the victim from the opposite direction and one man spat on the victim’s shoulder and arm.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information, is asked to contact police. Dial 101, press 2 and ask to speak to PC Gemma Mumby.
