Appeal following BB gun attack on Tadcaster Road in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an incident that occurred on Tadcaster Road in York.

It happened at approximately 1.30am on Wednesday  1 July when three 18 year-old men were attacked on Tadcaster Road on their way home from the Knavesmire by two unknown males believed to be approximately 16-18 years-old.

The incident occurred directly opposite the Tadcaster Road entrance to Hob Moor. One of the 18 year-olds was sprayed with incapacitant spray and shot with a BB gun. The BB gun was also used on one of the other 18 year-olds. Both men sustained bruising in the incident.

Police are appealing for information which may lead to identifying the males responsible and are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
