Appeal following attempted burglary in Acomb

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an attempted burglary that occurred in Acomb, York.

It happened on Wains Road at 1.55am on 10 November 2019, when a man entered a property through the front door but was disturbed by the occupants. He then fled on foot towards the cycle track which runs behind the working men’s club.

The male is described as 6ft tall, very slim build, wearing a grey hoody and dark clothing.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about any witnesses that may have been in the area at the time or any property’s which may have CCTV to capture the offender in the surrounding area.
