Appeal following burglary from church in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a burglary that occurred in York.

It happened at St Wulstan’s Church, Fossway sometime between 6pm on Monday 20 May 2019 and 7.30am on Wednesday 22 May 2019.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about anything suspicious and any information on who may have committed the burglary.

Missing items include a silver plate and chalice from the Communion Box, a bottle of sherry and various keys – one being a distinguishable large front door key.
