Appeal following burglary in York city centre

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a burglary that occurred on Lendal Bridge in York city centre.

The burglary happened at Hartley’s Coffee/Sandwich shop on Lendal Bridge, between 5.30pm on 21 September 2019, and 8am the following day. This is the second time in a matter of days the premises has been broken into.

A number of items were stolen, including a black Cromford 2 cycle and a large amount of confectionery including chocolate bars and drinks.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to identify any suspects by asking people to come forward if they may have seen anything that might help progress this investigation.
