Appeal following collision in Rillington

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a collision on Woodlands Road in Rillington.

It happened around 1.50am on Saturday 16 August 2020 and involved a Silver Vauxhall Meriva. A man was seen fleeing the scene in the direction of Main Street and the A64.

Damage was caused to numerous vehicles and street furniture.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

We are asking if members of the public in the area could review private CCTV and dash cam footage at the time of the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about the whereabouts and movements of the vehicle before the incident and a man leaving the area afterwards.
