Appeal following collision on the A59, Skipton

Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage following a collision which occurred on the A59 Skipton near to the Broughton Road junction.

The incident happened at approximately 6.30am on Wednesday 3 March 2021 and  involved a White Ford Transit Van overtaking a HGV near to the Broughton Road Junction, when the van caused damage to the HGV.  Both the HGV and the Van were driving on the A59 heading in the direction of the Little Chef roundabout (The A59/A65 Roundabout). It has been reported that the white van has driven on the wrong side of the road, head on into oncoming traffic.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision and specifically if you were the driver of the vehicle which the van was driving head on towards to come forwards. Any dashcam footage would also be appreciated.
