Appeal following collision on Woodland Ravine in Scarborough

Scarborough police are appeal for witnesses after a woman in her 80s was injured in a serious road traffic collision.

It happened at about 2.10pm on Thursday 18 August and involved a white Citroen C1 and a mobility scooter on Woodland Ravine at the junction of Scalby Road.

The woman rider of the mobility scooter was taken to Scarborough hospital by ambulance to be checked out after she sustained cuts, abrasions and severed bruising to her face.

The stretch of road was closed while officers investigated the scene, it reopened at around 6.30pm.

We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing either of the vehicles prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.
