Appeal following commercial burglary in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a commercial burglary that occurred on Gillygate, York.

It happened at Wackers Fish and Chip Restaurant on Gillygate between midnight and 1 am on the 30 April 2019 and involved four suspects gaining entry by smashing the door to the takeaway and stealing three tills and a CCTV system.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about anyone who may have been on Gillygate around the time of the burglary, or who may have seen anything suspicious.
