Appeal following criminal damage

Officers appealing for witnesses and information about criminal damage in Eastfield.

It happened at Dale Edge, Eastfield at around 5.30pm on Friday 17 January 2020 and involved a firecracker being placed into the letterbox of an address, causing damage to the letterbox.

It has been reported that this incident may have been filmed and the footage shared via the social media platform SnapChat.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for anybody that has seen the incident in person or seen the video that was subsequently circulated to come forwards.
