Appeal following hate crime incident in Skipton

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that occurred in Skipton.

It happened at Skipton Bus Station at 2.40pm on Saturday 14 March 2020 and involved the victim being approached by a man who spat at her twice before walking off. It is believed that the victim was targeted due to her ethnicity.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for any witnesses to come forward and for any information about the identity of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged in his 20s, slim build, 6ft in height, shaved head with a tattoo on his neck.
