Appeal following assault in Scarborough

Police in Scarborough are appealing for witnesses and information about an apparent unprovoked assault on a 17-year-old boy.

It happened on Stepney Road at approximately 11am on Monday 19 February 2018.

The victim sustained a cut to the back of his neck which required hospital treatment.

The suspect’s identity is currently unknown and efforts are ongoing to trace him. He is described as white, around 5ft in height and 17 to 18 years old. He was wearing a black coat and blue jeans.
