Appeal following attempted burglary in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an attempted burglary in York.

On Monday 25 September 2017, between approximately 12:30pm and 3pm, an unsuccessful attempt was made to break into a house on Heslington Lane, York, near the junction with Broadway. Suspects tried to force the door open but failed and left before the homeowner returned to their property.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact us on 101, select option 2, and ask for PC Alastair Foy. You can also email alastair.foy@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
