Appeal following recent robbery in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a robbery that occurred in York on a footpath between Scarborough Bridge and Aldborough Way.

It happened between 4am on Sunday 24 June 2018 and involved two men threatening another man walking home from the city centre with a wooden plank.

No injury was caused to the victim, a 23-year-old local man, but headphones and an over-the-shoulder bag was stolen from him.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about anyone who saw two males in the vicinity of Scarborough Bridge and Aldborough Way at 4am on Sunday 24 June 2018.
