Appeal following serious assault in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a serious assault that occurred in York.

It happened on Church Street, York at 1am on Sunday 28 January 2018 when two men and woman approached a man before one of the men punched the victim in his head causing a fracture to his jaw.

The suspect is described as White, about 23 years-old, small to medium build, about 5ft5 to 5ft 6ins tall, with dark short hair. He was wearing a black jumper and black bottoms.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
