Appeal following serious collision in Sherburn in Elmet

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the B1222 on Saturday 11 March 2017.

 

The incident happened at 1pm on Bishopdyke Road (the B1222) at the junction with Biggin Crossroads, Sherburn in Elmet, and involved a Motorcycle and a silver Ford S-Max.

The rider and pillion of the motorbike, a 53 year old man and a 53 year old woman from the West Yorkshire area, were taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries.

The driver of the Ford, a 29 year old woman from the Selby area, is currently helping with Police with enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information is asked to contact police.
