Appeal following single vehicle collision in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information after a single vehicle collision in York. On 2 August 2020 around 10.05pm, a black Audi A3 was seen in a collision on the A1237 Askham Lane roundabout in York. The occupants of the vehicle then left the scene on foot.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for anyone who may have seen the vehicle driving down Askham Lane before the collision, officers would also like to speak to a member of public walking a dog who spoke to officers at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
