Appeal following spate of damage to vehicles

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a spate of damage to vehicles in Scarborough.

It happened on Sunday 25 December 2016 on Elmeville Avenue after 5pm  and involved a large amount of vehicles being scratched by a sharp implement which were parked up on one side of the road.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about any suspicious behaviour that has been seen or heard, and requesting that if anyone has any CCTV covering the area that they contact the police.
