Appeal following theft and abandonment of car in Geldof Road, York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a stolen car that was abandoned after crashing into a fence on Geldof Road, York on Thursday 30 June 2016.

It happened on Geldof Road at approximately 4.20am and involved a stolen black Vauxhall Astra crashing into a fence and three people were seen to run from the car.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for two witnesses who were passing at the time of the crash, to come forward and contact us as they may hold important information which would assist our enquiries.
