Appeal following theft from a vehicle at Scarborough

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a theft from an unattended vehicle that occurred in Scarborough.

It happened on The Crescent overnight on Saturday 11 July and Sunday 12 July 2020.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

A Ford S-Max and Landrover Freelander were both targeted in the incident, where an offender has used a rock to smash a window before gaining entry to the vehicle.

Several items were taken from the Freelander, including trainers, glasses and a purse.

We are particularly appealing for anyone with dash-cam footage who was in the vicinity of The Crescent overnight. Please review your footage and report anything suspicious to us.
