North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about the theft of a child's tablet that occurred in York.

The incident occurred at the  Home Bargains store on Foss Islands Road on Saturday 27 July 2019 at approximately 10.30am.

A child’s had taken their tablet into the store, and had mistakenly left it in a basket. When the family realised the child’s tablet was left behind they returned to the store. However, it had been removed fromt he basket before they had chance to retrieve it.

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they would like to speak to, as they believe she holds information which would be vital to their enquiries.
